Time: 6 pm – 8
pm at the Sandy Creek Town Hall
Core
Team Meeting #1: The first Core Team
meeting will examine various stakeholder, constituent, and agency priorities
(including synergies and commonalities among them). This discussion is based on the following,
summarized, questions: 1) What are the economic and natural resource challenges
facing the watershed; 2) What specific actions should/can be taken; and 3) Who
would be responsible for taking these actions?
The group will also draft a vision statement for the Sandy Creeks EBM
Demonstration Project. EcoLogic staff
will provide an overview of stakeholder comments to-date, provide background
information on the plans and reports researched for this effort, and facilitate
the group discussions.
Location:
Sandy Creek Town Hall
Meeting 2: Priorities Actions
Ranked (11/20/08)
Time:
6 pm – 8 pm; Location TBD
Core Team Meeting #2: The second meeting of the Core Team—working
from specific issues identified during the first meeting and the survey
questions shared with constituents—will identify priority actions through consensus. Discussion will acknowledge discrepancies
between existing and desired states and identify projects and initiatives that are
already being planned or recommended (consistent with the vision).
Meeting 3: Implementation Outline (12/10/08)
Time:
6 pm – 8 pm; Location TBD
Core Team
Meeting #3: This final meeting will lay out specific implementation steps for
as many of the priority actions as possible. Roles and responsibilities of EBM partner
agencies and stakeholders in implementation of priority actions will be identified.
Finally, core team members will outline
ways to measure success; that is, recommendations to track improvements as
priority actions are implemented.
